Positions in Charlottesville and the surrounding area:
Associate Director of Advancement (Full time)—Responsible for advancing the mission and priorities of Hospice of the Piedmont by developing and cultivating relationships with HOP donors and prospects to strengthen their connections to the organization and secure philanthropic support.
– Build and develop relationships with new and existing HOP donors, managing the portfolio to increase financial support.
– Make personal visits to cultivate and solicit annual gifts of $1,000 or more.
– Manage and increase the size and scope of HOP’s corporate giving program.
– Develop and execute strategic stewardship plans for individual and corporate donors.
– Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum five years of experience in fundraising, non-profit management or related field. Direct fundraising experience preferred. Must be results-driven and believe in the Hospice of the Piedmont mission. Strong organizational and relationship management skills required. Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to manage and complete multiple projects on a timely basis within deadlines. Requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs. Familiarity with relational databases such as Blackbaud’s Raisers Edge desirable.
Hospice Aide (Full time) – Must be registered by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, provides personal care services to patients in home and/or facilities that reflects the Hospice philosophy of care. One year’s relevant experience required. Basic proficiency in word processing software helpful.
Hospice Aide (Full time, 7 p.m.-7 a.m., Hospice House) – Must be registered by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, provides personal care services to Hospice House patients that reflects the Hospice philosophy of care. One year’s relevant experience required. Basic proficiency in word processing software helpful.
LPN (Full time, On call) – Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. One or more years of relevant nursing experience required. Under supervision of a registered nurse, delivers quality patient care and comfort measures to patients, emphasizing physical, spiritual and emotional needs. Basic proficiency in word processing software helpful.
RN Case Manager (Full time) – Responsible for patient care through professional management of cases assigned and coordination of services offered by all health team members to assure quality care consistent with Hospice policies and procedures. Must be a licensed RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia with two years of relevant nursing experience. Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of terminal care, health team service coordination, documentation, and case management is necessary. Must be comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
