Traditionally, Hospice of the Piedmont hosts an in-person Memorial Illumination event in both the Charlottesville and Culpeper communities in early December. This year, we will be hosting a Virtual Memorial Illumination.

In anticipation of the event, we invite you to “light a light” to celebrate those whose lives you wish to honor and remember. We will be recording the Virtual Memorial Illumination ceremony this year, which will feature music, poems, and reflection, all by the “light” of luminaries in honor of our community members.

For each contribution of $15 or more, a luminary will shine at the virtual ceremony in memory or in honor of your loved one(s). We will send an email containing a link to the Virtual Memorial Illumination in early December. We hope that you are able to share this video and ceremony with those in your families, and share in celebrating your loved ones together.

If you wish to provide your email to ensure you receive this information, please contact us at gift@hopva.org. If you have questions about the Virtual Memorial Illumination, please call 434-972-3568 or 800-975-5501.

In addition to celebrating the lives of those dear to you, your gifts will reach out to touch others. Your donation sustains Hospice of the Piedmont in its vision to ensure that no one in our community dies alone or in pain and provides free grief support to anyone in our community who needs it, regardless of affiliation with Hospice of the Piedmont.
