We Honor Veterans

Hospice of the Piedmont is specially trained to deal with the unique challenges facing our military men and women. We’re committed to compassionately service those who have served us with our “We Honor Veterans” program. Our expert staff and specially trained volunteers guide our veteran patients through a peaceful end-of-life process with a focus on their unique life story and honoring their service. Special pinning ceremonies are performed to commemorate our veteran patients in front of their family and loved ones, if so desired.

We participate in the “We Honor Veterans” program in partnership with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We Honor Veterans: Hospice Professionals on a Mission to Serve is a national initiative supporting hospice organizations through education and advocacy.
